How 2 Use ReadyBoost In Windows Vista

HOME                      BACK

ReadyBoost allows you to use your USB flash drive as extra memory.

I have inserted my Flash Drive and you can see I have the option to SPEED UP MY SYSTEM which I will click on.

That is all there is to it.

You will see here I did not have enough room on my Flash Drive so I was given a warning

And I cannot use my USB Flash Drive.

NOTE: USB access is faster than the pagefile access from the hard disk.

NOTE: ReadyBoost supports Flash Drives from 256MB up to 4GB in size.

NOTE: It is best to match the Flash Drive size to the amount of RAM your machine has.

NOTE: ReadyBoost is included in all Vista versions except the Vista Starter version.

NOTE: You can only enable ReadyBoost on one device.

This Ends The Task.
